It is designed to provide temporary relief from cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation associated with the common cold, and to relieve minor aches and pains in muscles and joints. Its powerful Vicks vapors, containing menthol, camphor, and eucalyptus oil, work quickly to help you breathe easier and feel more comfortable.

Directions for Use (Operating)

For Cough Suppression (Adults and children 2 years and over):

• Rub a thick layer of VapoRub ointment on your throat and chest.
• If desired, cover the applied area with a warm, dry cloth.
• Keep clothing loose around the throat and chest to allow the Vicks Vapors to reach the nose and mouth effectively.
• Use up to three times daily, or as directed by a doctor.

For Muscle / Joint Minor Aches and Pains:

• Apply to the affected area.
• Do not apply more than three to four times daily.

Children under 2 years: Do not use.

Failure to follow these warnings could result in serious consequences.

• Do not heat in microwave or add to hot water. May cause splattering and result in burns.
• Ask a doctor before use if you have: cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus), a breathing problem or chronic cough that lasts or as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema.
• Stop use and ask a doctor if: muscle aches and pains worsen or persist for more than 7 days, or if cough comes back or occurs with rash or headache that lasts. These could be signs of a serious condition.
