1. Locate the battery cover on the back of the clock.
2. Turn the battery cover counter-clockwise to open it.
3. Insert one D-type battery (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Replace the battery cover by turning it clockwise until it is securely closed.

Step 2: Setting the Time

1. Locate the time adjust dial on the right side of the clock.
2. Turn the dial counter-clockwise to set the desired hour and minute.
3. Ensure the AM/PM indicator (located next to the hour display) is correct for the current time.

Note: There might be a slight minute difference as the time is set by the dial. Do not turn the dial in the opposite direction or force it, as this may damage the mechanism.

• Check for any physical obstructions (e.g., dust, debris) in the flipping mechanism that might prevent smooth movement.
