The unit automatically powers on when a battery is inserted and the probe is connected. There is no dedicated power off switch; to turn off, remove the battery.

Temperature Unit Selection (°F/°C)

On the back of the unit, locate the °F/°C switch to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature readings.
