Once set up, the smart motion sensor will detect motion and trigger actions based on your smart home settings. You can adjust sensitivity and other settings through the Apple Home Hub interface.

To build an Apple Thread network, a Thread enabled Apple Home hub device is required to be the CONNECTED hub (seen in the Home app) in the Apple Home system. If you have multiple hubs, please turn off the Non-Thread hubs temporarily, then one Thread hub will automatically be assigned as the CONNECTED hub.

Onvis Smart Motion Sensor SMS2-OD is an Apple ecosystem compatible, Thread + BLE5.O enabled, battery powered multi-sensor: Motion, Bright/Dark. Temperature and Humidity. It keeps you updated of your home conditions, and offers sensor status for Apple Home automations. It is designed with an IP66 waterproof rating to easily adapt to outdoor use scenarios.

Place the SMS2-OD on a flat surface like a shelf, table or desk.
Installation with Stickers
Clean and dry the target surface, peel off the sticker cover and stick the device on the surface.

Screw the holder pedestal into the device.

Loosen the knob to adjust detection direction. Tighten the knob to fix the direction.

If SMS2-OD is under BLE5.0 connection, the range is limited to BLE range only. So if BLE connection is poor, please consider setting up a Thread network for SMS2-OD for better connection.

If the connection of SMS2-OD and the Thread network is too weak, try putting a Thread router to improve the Thread connection.

فرم ویئر اپ ڈیٹ

A red dot on the SMS2-OD icon in the Onvis Home app means a newer firmware is available.

Tap the SMS2-OD icon to enter main page, and then tap the upper right to enter details.
Follow the app prompting to complete firmware update. Do not quit the app during firmware update. Wait about 20 seconds for SMS2-OD to reboot and reconnect.

Why does the response slow down to 4-8 seconds?
The connection with the hub might have been switched to bluetooth. A reboot of the home hub
and device will restore the Thread connection.

Why did I fail to set up my Onvis Smart Motion Sensor SMS2-OD to Onvis Home app?

Make sure your SMS2-OD is within connecting range of your iOS device.
Before setting up, reset the device by long pressing the reset button for about 5 seconds until the LED flashing green-red-green-red lights.

Scan the setup code on the device or instruction manual.
